| NTC WARNS AGAINST " TEXT SCAM" MESSAGES |
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) disowns and denies the fraudulent text messages presently circulating, informing persons that they won prizes from an NTC-sponsored raffle.
As the government agency mandated to regulate telecommunications industry, NTC is very vigilant in its campaign against illegal text messaging.
The NTC condemns the use of its name by unscrupulous persons and/or entities in circulating fraudulent and malicious text messages purportedly informing persons that they have won prizes from an alleged NTC-sponsored raffle.
The public is advised to be vigilant and not fall prey to these Texting Scams.
